Vivo has expanded its popular Y-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo Y400 5G, following the earlier release of the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G. Aimed squarely at the mass market, the new Y400 5G brings powerful hardware, attractive pricing, and modern features that are likely to appeal to budget-conscious 5G smartphone buyers.
The Vivo Y400 5G is available in two stunning colour options — Olive Green and Glam White — and comes in two storage variants:

- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹23,999
Sales for the device will begin on August 7, 2025, across Vivo’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart, and authorized retail partners across the country.
On the front, the Vivo Y400 5G boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, and 2400 x 1080 resolution, offering a vibrant and smooth visual experience. The device also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, ensuring fast and secure access.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This configuration ensures smooth performance for everyday use, multitasking, and gaming.
Battery life is a major highlight of the Y400 5G.
