Register Now for THINQ 2025 – The Indian Navy’s Premier National Quiz

The Indian Navy, through its Southern Naval Command, has officially opened registrations for THINQ 2025 – The Naval Quiz, a flagship national-level competition for school students. Designed to test intellect, awareness, and teamwork, THINQ blends general knowledge with India-focused themes, fostering not only sharp thinking but also a deep sense of national pride. Students of Classes IX to XII across the country can participate, but the registration deadline is August 31, 2025.

Participation Criteria

The quiz is open to all schools in India, irrespective of board or location.

  • Teams must consist of two students from the same school, though they may be from different classes.
  • Schools may register multiple teams; however, from the second elimination round (ER-2) onwards, only one team per school will advance.
  • Participants must carry a valid school ID card during all stages.
  • Registration must be completed by school staff—self-registration by students is not allowed.
  • Any use of unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification.

Format of the Competition

THINQ 2025 will be conducted in multiple stages, progressing from online elimination rounds to national-level finals.

Preliminary Rounds

  • Over 20,000 schools are expected to take part.
  • The country will be divided into four zones: North, South, East, and West.
  • The first stage includes three Elimination Rounds:
    • ER-1: Top 50% of teams in each zone advance to ER-2.
    • ER-2: Top 20% move on to ER-3.
    • ER-3: Determines qualifiers for the Zonal Selection Round.
  • All preliminary rounds will be online, accessible via most browsers (Chrome or Edge recommended). Laptops or desktops are preferred for participation.

Zonal Selection Round

  • Top 20% of teams from ER-3 in each zone will qualify.
  • Conducted online via Zoom with detailed instructions sent to selected teams.

Semi-Finals and Finals

  • 16 teams (4 from each zone) will compete in the semi-finals.
  • Two semi-finals will produce 8 finalists (4 from each semi-final).
  • Hosted by the Southern Naval Command, the semi-finals and finals will take place in Kerala.
  • The Indian Navy will cover travel and accommodation for semi-finalists, finalists, and their accompanying teachers.
  • Participants will also enjoy cultural activities highlighting Kerala’s heritage and have the unique opportunity to visit naval ships, training facilities, and aircraft.

Awards and Recognition

  • Winners will receive prestigious awards and national recognition.
  • All Zonal Round qualifiers will get participation certificates.
  • Semi-finalists will receive mementos, gifts, and certificates.
  • The event promises not just competition, but an unforgettable experience of learning and exploration.

How to Register

Schools must complete the registration process before August 31, 2025 through the official THINQ portal (link provided by the Indian Navy). With limited time left, schools are encouraged to register early to ensure participation.
