As per the notification the last date is extended till 13th May 2023 and last date to pay fees is 13th May 2023,

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the KCET 2023 revised schedule for the submission of Special Category certificates,

As per the notification released due to General Elections scheduled on 10th May and Counting on 13th May the schedule to submit the special category certificates from 10th to 16th May 2023 been postponed and revised schedule been released,

Candidates are informed to submit the special category certificates as per the revised schedule

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2023 is being conducted for admission to Engineering, Technology, Architecture, B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech (Bio-Technology), B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science, Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS), Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Farm Science courses, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (D. Tech), B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B. Pharma, Pharma-D and other courses

The candidates who wish to seek admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses must compulsorily qualify in UGNEET-2023, In order to obtain admission to any of the professional courses through KEA, a candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test as per their choice of courses

For admission to Architecture course candidate should compulsorily qualify in NATA-2023 (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)

IMPORTANT DATES

Commencement of registration and filling of Application Online & payment of fees for CET 2023 from 2nd March 2023, Last date to apply is 5th April 2023 and Last date for the payment of fees is 7th April 2023

ELIGIBILITY 

A candidate who has passed or  is expecting the qualifying examination results, (i.e., 2nd PUC / 12th Standard in 2023), may apply and appear for Common Entrance Test 2023

MERIT LIST

On the basis of the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying 12th std Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, the Engineering Courses rank list will be prepared 

On the basis of the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common Entrance Test, the Medical Courses rank list will be prepared

SYLLABUS

The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be based on the 1st and 2nd year PUC Syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka

EXAM DATE

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test will be held on 2  days in 4 different sessions for 4 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology). On the day 1 test will be conducted for Biology and Mathematics subjects in 2 sessions and on the Day 2 test will be conducted for Physics and Chemistry subjects in 2 sessions as per the date and time notified

TIME TABLE

EXAM PATTERN

Each question paper will be of Multiple Choice Questions (Objective) type. The question paper in each subject will have different versions and each question will have 4 different options. Each question will carry 1 mark.

The candidate can to attempt all the questions in order to obtain maximum marks, there is no choice of questions. There will be no Negative Marking with regard to wrong / incorrect answers but marks will not be awarded in respect of multiple answers for the same question
