Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) has started the registration process for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023, As per the notification released the interested and eligible candidates can submit the online applications for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023

IMPORTANT DATES

The applications can be submitted from 11th December 2023, Last date to submit online application for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023 is 22nd December 2023, Admit card to be released on 12th January 2024, Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023 is scheduled to be held on 19th January 2024

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have passed HSC Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or an equivalent examination conducted by any other State Board or Central Board (like CBSE, ICSE) with Odia as a language subject, have passed their Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline with at least 50% from a recognized university and also hold a B.Ed Degree from a university recognized by NCTE are eligible to apply

APPLICATION FEES

The candidates belonging to the general and Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) category to pay the application fee Rs 600 and the candidates belonging to the scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) to pay Rs 400

EXAM PATTERN

Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023 consist of two papers, Duration of the Test in each paper shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes, All questions will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) each carrying one mark, There shall be Four Sections in each paper, Examination to be conducted for 150 marks, 

QUALIFYING MARKS

The minimum pass mark in each paper is 45% (68 marks out of 150). A person securing 45% or more in each paper shall be considered to have qualified OSSTET. In case of SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates the minimum pass mark shall be 35% (53 marks out of 150), Successful candidates shall be awarded OSSTET Pass Certificate by the BSE, (O).

The OSSTET Pass Certificate shall remain valid till the candidate reaches the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment of teachers as per rules or executive instructions prescribed by the Govt. from time to time, There shall be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring OSSTET Pass certificate
