The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, in collaboration with BodhBridge Education, an enterprise founded by an IIT Madras alumnus, has launched two innovative and free online entrepreneurship training programs designed to nurture India’s next generation of entrepreneurs. These programs—“From Students to Startup” and “Discover the Entrepreneur in You”—aim to promote creativity, innovation, and leadership among students and professionals.
About the Initiatives
The two programs cater to different target groups.
- “From Students to Startup” is meant for college students (UG & PG) and working professionals, helping them explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
- “Discover the Entrepreneur in You” is designed for school students (Classes 7 to 12) to introduce them to fundamental business and entrepreneurial concepts from an early age.
Both programs will be conducted online, featuring live interactive sessions by industry experts, comprehensive course materials, case studies, and recorded session access for flexible learning. Importantly, the training and materials are completely free of cost, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
The first batch of the programs will begin on November 1, 2025, with the registration deadline set for October 28, 2025. As per the official statement, regular training sessions will be conducted every month to accommodate new participants.
Vision Behind the Program
According to Balamurali Shankar, Chief Knowledge Officer at IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, these initiatives aim to build “a generation of confident, innovative, and socially responsible leaders.” He emphasized that entrepreneurship education not only encourages students to launch ventures but also equips them with resilience, confidence, and purpose—qualities essential for success in any field.
“Students trained in entrepreneurship are more likely to start businesses in the future, contributing to India’s economic growth and societal progress,” Shankar said.
