The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has launched the ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize 2025 to honor foreign scholars studying in India under ICCR scholarships who actively promote Indian culture across the globe. This initiative recognizes exceptional talent in dance, music, art, yoga, Indian languages, and other traditional cultural practices.
Each year, twelve ICCR scholars will be selected on a quarterly basis for their outstanding cultural contributions. Winners will receive cash prizes of up to ₹30,000 along with recognition and additional benefits. The application deadline is September 30, 2025.
ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a foreign student currently enrolled as an ICCR scholar in India.
- Should be actively contributing to the promotion of Indian culture through creative and authentic work.
- Submissions must be original and non-political.
- Content must be in English, Hindi, or any Indian language (with English subtitles if submitted in a regional language).
- Previous winners may reapply but cannot win more than once in a calendar year.
Important Note
ICCR scholars already enrolled in courses such as Dance, Music, or Performing Arts cannot apply in their enrolled category, though they may submit entries in other cultural categories.
ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize 2025: Benefits
Winners of the ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize will receive attractive awards:
- 1st Prize: ₹30,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹25,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹15,000
