“Himachal Pradesh Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination-2025 was fixed for September 7. It is for the information of all concerned that the HP Public Service Commission has decided to postpone the aforesaid examination to October 5 (tentatively) due to inclement weather conditions.”

Closure of Educational Institutions in Himachal Pradesh
Adding to the precautionary measures, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced the closure of all government and private educational institutes. This includes schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, coaching centres, and anganwadi centres, under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, due to the heavy rainfall in the region.
The move aims to prioritize the safety of students, teachers, and staff while ensuring that no lives are put at risk during the ongoing weather crisis.
