ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HARVARD RADCLIFFE FELLOWSHIP 2026–27

Eligibility varies across disciplines:

  • Applicants must have earned their PhD, MD, JD, or other terminal degree at least four years before appointment (by December 2022).
  • Must have published either a monograph or at least two refereed journal articles.

Science, Engineering, and Mathematics

  • Doctorate in the relevant field required, awarded before December 2022.
  • Must have published at least five articles in refereed journals.

Creative Arts

  • Independent work exhibited at festivals, galleries, or broadcast.
  • Visual Arts: At least five years of professional work, with curated group shows and two solo exhibitions.
  • Fiction & Non-Fiction: One or more published books, a signed contract for a manuscript, or three long-form published works.
  • Poetry: At least 20 published poems or a book of poetry within the last five years, with a manuscript in progress.

  • Journalism: Minimum five years of professional journalism experience.
  • Playwriting: Produced or optioned plays.
  • Music Composition: Evidence of professional achievement with recent performances (PhD/DMA preferred but not required).

Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows under the Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship 2026–27 will receive:

  • $78,000 stipend (approx. ₹68.2 lakh).
  • $5,000 (approx. ₹4.3 lakh) for project expenses.
