The University of Allahabad has officially commenced the registration process for undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2025-26. Candidates who have qualified the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG) 2025 are eligible to apply for admission to various UG programmes offered by the university and its constituent colleges.
The admission process is being conducted in two distinct phases through the Samarth Portal, the registration window is open from July 16 to July 26, 2025.
Phase 1 involves registration and profile update. Before proceeding, candidates must ensure they meet the university’s eligibility criteria and have all necessary documents in hand. The list of essential documents includes:
- CUET-UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
- Class 10 marks sheet and certificate
- Class 12 marks sheet and certificate
- A recent passport-size photo and signature in .jpg or .jpeg format
- A valid caste certificate (EWS, OBC, SC, ST) in central government format with certificate number and issue date
Phase 2 requires candidates to select their desired programme(s) and make the payment of the registration fee. The fee is ₹300 per course for candidates from the Unreserved, OBC, and EWS categories, and ₹150 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
The university has emphasized that only candidates who complete both phases — registration with profile update and programme selection with fee payment — will be eligible for the counselling process. Incomplete applications or those lacking payment will not be considered for admission.
