Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala invite applications for Ph.D Entrance Exam 2023

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Ph.D Entrance Examination 2023 for determining eligibility for admission to Full time / Part time research leading to Ph.D Degree by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala

IMPORTANT DATES

Online application for the Ph.D Entrance Examination 2023 to be submitted from 25th March to 10th April 2023, Entrance Exam is scheduled to be held on 6th and 7th May 2023, 

ELIGIBILITY 

Candidates applying for Ph.D Entrance Examination in Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala shall have passed a Post Graduate Degree examination in any discipline of Mahatma Gandhi University or of any other Universities recognised as eligible thereto, with not less than 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale,

However, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% shall be granted to those belonging to SC / ST / OBC / Differently Abled and those for candidates who have obtained their Post Graduate Degree prior to 19th September 1991. 

SELECTION

Selection will be based on the entrance test, The general aptitude test will be of 3 hours duration and will carry a maximum of 100 mark, Entrance test will be conducted at the Centres as per the dates notified in the portal, The test comprises of two papers – Part A – Research Methodology and Part B – Subject chosen

PASSING MARKS

Pass requirement is minimum 50% marks for all categories except SC / ST / OBC / Differently Abled whose pass requirement is 45%

APPLICATION FEES

Candidates have to pay ₹ 1,105 as application fee. For SC / ST candidates, the fee for application is ₹550 to be paid through online mode
