Alternatively, IIT Kanpur will conduct its own online entrance examination for those without a valid national-level test score.
Departments may also specify additional criteria, such as prior academic background, work experience, or interviews. Professionals with over five years of relevant industry experience, or sponsored candidates from government or defence organisations, may be exempted from the entrance test, as per the official release.
