The University of Allahabad (UoA or AU) has officially commenced the counselling process for admission to its postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2025. The process is based on the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT 2025), and eligible candidates can now apply for various programmes including MTech, MSc, MDS, and MA.
Candidates whose PGAT 2025 scores meet or exceed the prescribed cut-off are eligible to register on the official counselling portal. Upon entering the portal, students must log in using their PGAT roll number as the user ID and their date of birth as the password. Once logged in, candidates are required to upload the necessary documents for verification.
The university has clarified that those who do not meet the current cut-off will not be able to proceed with the registration. Instead, they will receive a message stating, “Please wait for next cut-off.” This implies that the university may announce further cut-off lists based on seat availability.
After successful document verification by the department coordinators at AU, candidates can move ahead to pay the required counselling fees. The registration fee is ₹1,000 for PGAT 1 category courses and ₹1,600 for PGAT 2 category courses.

- MSc Agriculture Botany – Last date: July 26, 2025
- MA Vocal – Last date: July 27, 2025
- MA and MSc in Defence Studies – Last date: July 28, 2025
- MSc Environmental Science – Last date: July 29, 2025
- Master of Vocation (MVoc) in Media Studies – Last date: July 25, 2025
