Karnataka Labour Department Invites Applications for Educational Incentive Assistance 2025-26

The Karnataka Labour Department, through the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board (KLWB), has announced the launch of its Educational Incentive Assistance Scheme for the academic year 2025-26. This welfare initiative aims to support the children of organised sector workers who contribute to the Labour Welfare Board, offering financial assistance to encourage their educational aspirations.

As per the official notification, online applications are now open, and eligible candidates can apply through the Board’s official portal on or before 31st December 2025.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The scheme targets children of organised workers who contribute regularly to the Labour Welfare Board and meet the following conditions:

  • The applicant must be a child of an organised worker whose monthly salary is less than ₹35,000.
  • The student must have passed the previous academic year with:
    • At least 50% marks for candidates in the general category.
    • At least 45% marks for candidates under PwD categories.
  • Students must be pursuing studies from high school level to postgraduate level, including professional courses like medical and engineering.
  • A maximum of two children per family can avail of the benefit under this scheme.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Eligible students must apply online through the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board’s application portal:

  • Parent’s employment and salary proof
  • Academic records of the applicant
  • KLWB contribution verification
  • Bank account details for direct benefit transfer

Applications must be completed and submitted before 31st December 2025.
