The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online applications for the Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2025. BET is a National Level Entrance Examination conducted for awarding the DBT–Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) to eligible candidates pursuing research in advanced areas of Biotechnology. Candidates aspiring to receive the fellowship can now apply online within the stipulated dates.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR BET-2025
Online Registration & Application Submission can be done from 28th February, Last date to register is 28th March 2025, Last Date for Exam Fee Payment is 28th March 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
Correction Window for Application Form to be opened from 30th March to 31st March 2025, Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2025 Examination is scheduled to be held on 13th May 2025 (Tuesday), Duration of the examination is 3 hours (180 minutes), Exam to be conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, the Medium of Question Paper is English
APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for BET-2025 must submit their applications online. No other mode of application will be accepted. Additionally, each candidate is allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications from the same candidate will lead to disqualification.
Examination Fee for BET-2025 : Candidates belonging to General (UR)/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS to pay ₹1300 and reserved candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD to pay ₹650
Payment of the examination fee must be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking before the deadline.
The DBT-JRF program is an excellent opportunity for Biotechnology researchers to gain financial support while working in cutting-edge research areas. Candidates qualifying under Category I will be eligible for Ph.D. fellowships in DBT-supported institutes, while Category II candidates may be considered for project-based funding.
