Eligibility Criteria
The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship 2025 is open to new international students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be an international student, i.e., not a citizen, permanent resident, or resident visa holder of New Zealand or Australia.
- Must have a conditional or unconditional offer of admission, be an English Language Academy (ELA) student with an offer, or be enrolled/enrolling in the Summer Start International programme.
- Must be enrolled or enrolling full-time in an undergraduate degree, Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), or master’s degree at the University of Auckland.
- Must have a Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.
- Should not have commenced study at the University of Auckland, except for the Summer Start International programme.
- Must not have undertaken any tertiary-level study in New Zealand previously.
- Should enrol full-time for at least two semesters during the scholarship tenure.
- Business master’s programmes in the Graduate School of Management are generally excluded, with a few specified exceptions.
