The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially announced that the registration for TG PGECET 2025 counselling will commence on August 1, 2025. This counselling process is crucial for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses such as Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), Master of Architecture (MArch), and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) in Telangana.
Candidates with valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) scores will be given first preference in the admission process. Once these seats are allotted, the remaining will be offered to candidates based on their TG PGECET 2025 scores. The counselling process will be conducted entirely online through the official portal
Admissions will be granted based on rankings, which are derived from the scores secured in GATE, GPAT, and TS PGECET. The seat allotment will take into consideration several factors including the merit list, choices filled by the candidates, and availability of seats across participating institutions in Telangana. Once the allotment is done, candidates can accept the seat or opt for upgradation in subsequent rounds of counselling.
To be eligible for TG PGECET counselling 2025, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying degree examination. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum eligibility criterion is 45%.
The TG PGECET 2025 examination was held in June 2025, and the complete counselling schedule is expected to be released soon on the official website. It is important to note that GATE and GPAT qualified candidates can submit their best scores from the years 2023, 2024, or 2025, whereas for TG PGECET candidates, only 2025 scores will be considered.
