Teachers & Graduates Constituencies draft Electoral roll 2023 released

The Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka has released the draft Electoral Rolls of Graduates and Teachers Constituencies of Karnataka North-East Graduates, Karnataka South-West Graduates, Bangalore Graduates, Karnataka South-East Teachers, Karnataka South-West Teachers, Karnataka South Teachers, Bangalore Teachers  with reference to 1st November 2023 as the Qualifying date,

The Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka has released the notification regarding Karnataka South, South East, South West Teachers Constituency Electoral roll enrolment process, As per the notification released For registration in Teachers Constituencies, one has to file the application for the purpose, in prescribed Form 19 along with Annexure-2, before the ERO/AERO of the constituency within which the place of ordinary residence of the applicant falls.

Form 19 can be downloaded online and it is also available free of cost in offices of Electoral Registration Officers (Concerned Regional Commissioner office)/ Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (Concerned Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Tahsildar office).

ELIGIBILITY

For registration in electoral roll for a Teachers’ Constituency, one should be ordinarily resident in that Constituency and within the six years immediately before the qualifying date (1st November of that year), for a total period of at least three years, should have been engaged in teaching in any of the educational institutions notified by the State Government within the State, not lower in standard than that of a secondary school, Application can be filled by typing or through legible hand writing, 

DOCUMENTS

Every eligible person applying for enrolment in Teachers’ constituency must submit documentary proof of having been engaged in teaching in any of the specified educational institutions for a total period of at least three years within six years immediately before the date. A certificate by the Head of the teaching institution should normally be considered adequate documentary proof of possessing that teaching qualification, documents to be submitted for proof of Ordinary Residence for Teachers are EPIC / Aadhaar Card / Ration Card / Indian Passport / Driving License / Bank/Kisan/Post Office current Passbook 

QUALIFYING DATE

The qualifying date for being enrolled in Teachers Constituencies 1st day of November of the year in which the preparation or revision of the electoral rolls is commenced. For the current year 1st November 2023 is the qualifying date.

CONSTITUENCIES IN 1st Schedule

Teachers Constituencies for the First Schedule Electoral roll preparations are Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Ramanagara, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Davanagere districts

IMPORTANT DATES

As per the schedule released the last date for the submit of application along with the documents is 6th November 2023, Draft electoral roll to be released on 23rd November 2023, Final electoral roll to be released on 30th December 2023
