Free Coaching for DNT Students under the SEED scheme Applications Open

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, has launched a transformative initiative titled Free Coaching for DNT Students under the SEED scheme, aimed at empowering students from De-notified Tribes (DNT), Nomadic Tribes (NT), and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (SNT). Implemented through the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC), the program seeks to uplift one of the most socially and economically marginalized sections of society by offering them access to high-quality coaching for competitive examinations.

BENEFITS

The initiative is part of the broader Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED) and provides financial assistance of up to ₹1,20,000 for coaching fees, along with a monthly stipend of ₹1,500, and an additional ₹2,000 per month for students with disabilities. It covers a wide array of entrance and recruitment exams, including NEET, JEE Main, CLAT, NDA, TOEFL, SAT, CA-CPT, RRB, Banking, Insurance, State Police, and CPL Courses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To qualify, students must belong to DNT, NT, or SNT communities, be either currently studying in Class 12 or have already passed it, and meet the minimum eligibility marks required by the respective competitive exam. Applicants’ annual family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000, and they must not be receiving similar coaching benefits from other government schemes.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants must submit:

  • A recent passport-size photo
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar/Ration Card)
  • DNT/NT/SNT certificate with sub-caste details
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Income certificate
  • Aadhaar-linked bank account details and passbook copy
  • Admission confirmation or fee letter from coaching institute
  • A declaration of non-receipt of similar scholarships
