The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the datesheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 Supplementary Examinations 2025. Students who did not clear one or more subjects in the main board exams now have the opportunity to improve their scores through these supplementary exams.
As per the official notification, the CBSE Class 10 Supplementary Exams 2025 will be conducted from 15th July to 22nd July 2025. The examinations will mostly be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with a few papers scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, depending on the subject.
For Class 12 students, the supplementary examination will be held on a single day, July 15, 2025. Like Class 10, the exam timing will generally be from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, though some subjects will conclude earlier, by 12:30 PM.
CBSE announced the results of the main board examinations for Class 10 and 12 on May 13, 2025. In the Class 12 exams, a total of 17.04 lakh students registered, of which 16.92 lakh appeared, and 14.96 lakh students passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 88.39%. While the success rate was commendable, a section of students fell short in one or two subjects, making the supplementary exams crucial for securing academic continuity.
The supplementary exams are a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their academic records and avoid losing a year. Schools have been advised to inform students and parents about the schedule and help them prepare accordingly, Students can access the detailed subject-wise schedule and exam guidelines
It is recommended that students download their admit cards in advance and check the reporting time, exam center details, and instructions carefully. CBSE has also emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and adhering to the rules and regulations during the exams.
With only a short time left for preparation, students are advised to focus on weak areas, revise thoroughly, and approach the exams with confidence. The supplementary exam is a second chance – a window for success – and CBSE’s structured approach ensures every student gets a fair opportunity to succeed.
