The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is set to announce the results of the Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2025 on August 9, 2025, according to an official notification released by the Board. The result will be declared after the incorporation of updates related to candidates’ social category claims, ensuring compliance with recent legal directives.
“This is for information to all concerned that after incorporation of the social category responses, the result of PUBDET-2025 is scheduled to be declared on 9th August, 2025,” the notice stated.
Candidates who appeared for the PUBDET 2025 can access their results through the official WBJEEB portal. To download the PUBDET 2025 scorecard, students will need to log in using their application number and password.
The PUBDET is an annual entrance examination conducted by WBJEEB for admission into four-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Honours) programmes at Presidency University, Kolkata. The exam plays a vital role in selecting candidates for various undergraduate honours courses for the academic year 2025–26.
Earlier, WBJEEB completed the answer key and response sheet challenge process, allowing candidates to raise objections and review their submitted answers. Now, as the Board finalizes the result, a special focus is being placed on category-related information due to recent court directives.
In light of the Supreme Court’s order dated July 28, 2025, in SLP(C) No. 17422 of 2025 (State of West Bengal v Purabi Das & Ors.), WBJEEB has opened a social category update window, enabling all PUBDET 2025 applicants to update or correct their social category details. This window will remain open until August 5, 2025.
This final opportunity ensures that the category data reflected in the results is accurate and in line with legal requirements. Presidency University will conduct the final verification of the category details at the time of admission.
