PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in Schools 2025 – 26 Applications Open

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, has opened applications for the PM YASASVI Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in Schools for the academic year 2025–26. This flagship scholarship initiative aims to empower students from the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and De-notified, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT) by providing financial support to access quality education in top-class schools across the country.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students applying for the PM YASASVI scholarship must:

• Belong to the OBC, EBC, or DNT categories as per central list.
• Be studying in Class 9 or Class 11 during the academic year 2025–26 in a recognized top-class school.
• Have completed the previous class (i.e., Class 8 or 10) with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Have a combined parental annual income of less than ₹2.5 lakh from all sources.
• Be a regular student in a government or government-recognized school.

BENEFITS OF THE SCHEME

The scheme covers:

• Full tuition fees.
• Hostel fees (for residential students).

• Expenses related to uniforms, books, and other incidental costs.
• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode ensures the funds are credited to the students’ accounts, promoting transparency and timely disbursement.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants need to submit the following documents at the time of applying:

• Recent passport-sized photograph.
• Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment ID.
• Caste Certificate (OBC/EBC/DNT) issued by a competent authority.
• Income Certificate for the financial year.
• Previous class mark sheet.
• Bonafide certificate from the current school.
• Bank account details linked with Aadhaar.

APPLICATION PROCESS & LAST DATE

The last date to submit the online application is 31st August 2025 and no extensions will be granted. Applicants are advised to complete the registration process well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
