Ministry of Education Launches AI-Powered “My Career Advisor” App for Students

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has officially launched a revolutionary career guidance platform — “My Career Advisor” App — designed to help students, parents, teachers, and counsellors explore future career pathways with greater clarity. The app was launched in July during the 5th anniversary celebrations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABBS).

With its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) engine, the My Career Advisor App provides personalised career recommendations to students, enabling them to identify the most suitable career options based on their aptitude, interests, skills, and values. According to the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the platform is a one-stop career guidance and awareness solution designed to empower learners with data-driven insights and preparation tools.

AI-Powered Career Recommendations for 1,500+ Career Options

Students using the app can explore more than 1,500 career options, complete with preparation guides and shareable reports. This AI-powered approach not only identifies the best matches but also suggests relevant courses and institutions. The Ministry of Education stated that My Career Advisor App “makes career exploration simple, interactive, and accessible for all stakeholders in the education ecosystem.”

Aligned with the vision of NEP 2020, the app empowers students to make informed academic and professional decisions. Teachers and counsellors can use the platform to mentor students more effectively, while parents can take an active role in shaping the aspirations and goals of their children.

Empowering Students, Parents, and Teachers

The Ministry of Education highlighted that teachers and counsellors can now deliver more impactful guidance using this app. Parents, too, gain visibility into their child’s strengths and interests, enabling them to support their children’s career decisions with confidence. The app’s shareable reports and guidance tools make it easier to track progress and plan ahead.

By unlocking personalised career pathways, the My Career Advisor App aims to reduce career-related confusion and stress among students, while helping them align their academic choices with future goals.

With “My Career Advisor”, the Ministry of Education has taken a landmark step toward integrating technology, education, and career planning. By offering AI-powered recommendations, detailed preparation guides, and collaborative tools, the app supports students, parents, and teachers alike in shaping brighter futures, for more details and download app CLICK HERE
