Karnataka Minority Dept invite applications for Hotel Management Training Courses 2025 - 26

The Minority Welfare Department of Karnataka has announced a vocational training initiative for the year 2025-26, for the youth from minority communities across the state. This skill development program will be conducted at the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Bangalore, with the aim of enhancing employability in the hospitality and entrepreneurial sectors.

COURSE OFFERINGS AND ELIGIBILITY

The training will include three specialized courses:

Multi Cuisine Cook

  • Educational Qualification: 10th Class Pass
  • Duration: 5 Months
  • Age Limit: 18 to 35 Years

Food & Beverage (F&B) Service

  • Educational Qualification: 10th Class Pass

  • Duration: 4 Months
  • Age Limit: 18 to 35 Years

Entrepreneurship Program (EP)

  • Educational Qualification: 10th Class Pass
  • Duration: 1 Month
  • Age Limit: 18 to 35 Years

All applicants must have passed the 10th standard by the last date of application submission.

COMMUNITY AND RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be permanent residents of Karnataka and belong to one of the notified state minority communities—namely Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, or Parsi. Additionally, applicants must possess a valid caste and income certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection process will be based purely on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the 10th standard examination. This ensures a fair opportunity for all eligible candidates from minority backgrounds who aspire to build a career in hospitality or entrepreneurship.
