The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the notification  to conduct Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Principal (UG) Grade 1 in Government First Grade Colleges in the State of Karnataka.

Accordingly applications are invited from the eligible candidates as per the provisions laid down in “Karnataka Education Department Services (Collegiate Education Department) (Recruitment of the posts of principal (UG) (Special) Rules, 2020” and corrigendum notification No. ED 121 DCE 2018 dated 21.03.2022

QUALIFICATION

EXAM DETAILS 

The Candidates have to download the admission tickets when notified and admission tickets will not be sent to individual candidates. The Place of Examination and Competitive Examination Time Table will be notified later, There will be no Negative Valuation

Compulsory Kannada Language Exam

As specified in sub-rule (2) of Rule 3 of the Karnataka Education Department Services (Collegiate Education Department) (Recruitment of the posts of principal (UG) (Special) Rules, 2020, any candidate shall not be eligible for selection unless he / she has qualified in the Kannada Language Test.

The exam should consist of a question paper of maximum 150 marks. Candidates should score at least 50 marks to qualify in this paper. This question paper will be at the standard of SSLC

Provided that, if a candidate has passed the SSLC examination or any equivalent examination or any examination higher than SSLC in which Kannada is the main language or second Language or an optional subject (but not one of the subject in composite paper) or has passed in Kannada medium, he / she is exempted from the Kannada language exam
