In a major development for India’s aviation sector, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the empanelment of 10 new Aeromedical Evaluation Centres (AMECs) across the country. Notably, the Apollo Group of Hospitals has been approved as an Aeromedical Evaluation Center at five major locations — New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Indore.
Additionally, other renowned healthcare institutions have been empaneled, including:
- Nanavati Hospitals and VM Medical Care Center, Mumbai
- Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune
- Max Multi Speciality Center, New Delhi
- Medanta Medicity, Gurugram
These new centres are in addition to the Indian Air Force Boarding Centres, further expanding India’s aeromedical infrastructure to support the fast-growing civil aviation sector.
