Key Guidelines for Schools and Examiners
In its official circular, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) emphasized the following important points for schools conducting the practical exams:
Final List of Candidates: Schools must prepare and finalize the list of students appearing for the practical exams. No student whose name is not submitted in the online List of Candidates (LOC) will be permitted to appear for the examinations.
Class 10 Internal Assessment: The Class 10 Internal Assessment (IA) will be conducted only once, and all schools must upload marks for every candidate within the prescribed schedule. There will be no second chance for uploading internal assessment marks.
Uploading of Marks: The marks for practical exams, projects, and internal assessments must be uploaded on the CBSE portal starting from the date of the exam. The uploading process must be completed by the last date of practical examinations — December 6, 2025.
While uploading marks, the School Principal, Internal Examiner, and External Examiner must jointly ensure that the correct marks are uploaded. No corrections will be allowed once the marks are submitted online.
Internal Assessment for Regular Students: The internal assessments for regular students must be conducted by the schools as per the subject-wise curriculum prescribed by CBSE. The marks obtained in these assessments will remain applicable for students appearing in the second board examination as well.
Responsibilities of Schools
CBSE has directed schools to follow all exam safety, fairness, and evaluation protocols during the practical examination period. Schools must ensure proper lab facilities, timely completion of assessments, and transparent coordination between internal and external examiners.
