CBSE Intorduces New Exam Pattern from 2024 - 25 for Classes 11 and12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced Assessment and Evaluation Practices of the Board for the Session 2024-25

As per the notification released the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is continuing with aligning of the assessments and evaluation practices with NEP- 2020 for the academic session 2024-2025. Consequently, in the forthcoming session, the percentage of Competency Based Questions that assess application of concepts in real-life situations included in the question papers of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

For Classes XI, X and XI , XII Composition of question paper for year-end examination/ Board Examination (Theory) for academic session 2024 – 25 to consist of Competency Focused Questions in the form of MCQs / Case Based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions or any other type = 50%,

Select response type questions (MCQ) = 20%, Constructed response questions (Short Answer / Long Answer Type Questions, as per existing pattern) = 30%
