The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has officially invited applications for the 35th National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2025 — a prestigious national platform that honors excellence, innovation, and leadership in energy efficiency and conservation across India.
The National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 will be presented on 14th December 2025, celebrated as National Energy Conservation Day, during a grand ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, graced by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
About the National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA)
Instituted in 1991, the National Energy Conservation Awards were established to recognize organizations and institutions that have demonstrated exemplary efforts in reducing energy consumption and promoting energy efficiency. Over the past three and a half decades, NECA has evolved into one of India’s most respected platforms, symbolizing the nation’s growing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and climate responsibility.
The awards celebrate the best in industry, transport, infrastructure, buildings, and innovation, highlighting India’s progress toward becoming an energy-efficient economy in line with its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
Purpose and Significance of NECA 2025

For the first time, NECA 2025 introduces a special category for Digital Content Creators and Influencers. This unique addition recognizes the power of social media and digital platforms in shaping public behavior toward energy conservation.
The initiative aligns with Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, which promotes mindful consumption and people-led climate action.
