Azim Premji University was established in Karnataka by the Azim Premji University Act 2010 as a not-for-profit University and is recognized by The University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2F.

The beginnings of the University are in the learning and experience of a decade of work in elementary education by the Azim Premji Foundation.

The University was founded as one of the key responses to the constraints and challenges that the Foundation encountered both within and in the environment, and as part of a larger strategy to contribute to the Education and Development sectors in the country.

Applications are invited by eligible candidates for admission to its 2-years full-time Postgraduate Program and 1-year Master of Laws (LL.M) in Law and Development for the academic year 2021 in Azim Premji University, Bangalore,

QUALIFICATIONS

M A Courses

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (including Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Commerce, Management, etc.) from a recognized University, the students who are appearing for their final year examinations and completing their graduation on or before September 2021 are also eligible to apply.

LLM Courses 

Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB 3 years / 5 years) from a recognised University in India or abroad.

APPLICATION FEE

The Application fee for all the courses is Rs 500, the fees can be paid Online Through Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking or offline through  Demand Draft in favour of “Azim Premji Foundation for Development”.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process consists of 3 states 

Stage 1: Entrance test : Test that will assess the English language capacities and quantitative capacities.

Stage 2: Written Complement : Applicants will have to write an essay/ data analysis/ problem solving based on their major preference which would assess writing and analytical skills.

Stage 3: Personal Interview : Shortlisted Candidates will be called for a personal interview.
