The online submission of entries are open from young writers across Karnataka for the Azim Premji University Short Story Contest 2024, Azim Premji University has announced the very first short story contest for young writers in Kannada and English
Every year, the Short Story Contest will have a broad theme around which writers in Kannada and English are invited to imagine their stories. This story can be realistic, fantastic, or anywhere in between, for the year 2024 the the writing contest will have two prizes, one for short fiction in English and the other for Kannada. Entries must be formatted in the modern manuscript format, the story is between 1500 and 3000 words, file saved as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf
THEME
Model Homes Layout, the participants are free to interpret this theme in any way. Stories from any genre and style are welcome
ELIGIBLITY
Resident of Karnataka (current or past) between the ages of 16 & 25 years are eligible to submit entries for the Azim Premji University Short Story Contest 2024
PRIZES
Two winners (Kannada and English) of the Azim Premji University Short Story Contest 2024 will receive a certificate of recognition and book coupons worth Rs 5000 each, Four runner ups (two from each language) will receive book coupons worth Rs 2500. Prizes will be announced at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru in mid March at a ceremony
