The AICTE Cisco Virtual Internship Program 2025 presents a dynamic opportunity for engineering and technical degree students to gain hands-on experience in Networking and Cyber Security. Jointly launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Cisco, this initiative is part of the ongoing national effort to strengthen digital skills and create a future-ready tech workforce for India.
Conducted through the Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad), this virtual internship blends academic learning with industry-driven insights, ensuring students develop relevant and in-demand skills. The initiative contributes significantly to India’s digital skilling agenda, aiming to transform the country into a global digital talent hub.
KEY FEATURES OF THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students currently in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of engineering/technical degree or diploma programs.
- Students must be from institutions affiliated with the Cisco Networking Academy. Institutions not yet registered can apply for NetAcad membership.
Registration Process
- Students must register via the AICTE Internship Portal.
- After registration, students can begin designated courses by contacting their NetAcad instructor and accessing the platform at netacad.com.
Course Completion & Digital Badges
- Students must complete assigned online courses and submit proof, including digital badge links issued by Cisco NetAcad.
Industry Exposure & Project Work
- Selected students will participate in an exclusive Cisco industry session.
- Guided by their NetAcad instructors, students will work on real-world problem statements and apply their learning practically.
Assessment & Certification
- After completing the project, students must take a final quiz.
- Upon fulfilling all program requirements, a Virtual Internship Certificate will be awarded.
Note: Final-year students are not eligible for this internship.
