The Indian School of Business (ISB) has announced the launch of the Taparia Family Scholarships, a landmark philanthropic initiative that marks one of the most significant contributions to ISB’s scholarship programme to date. Beginning in the 2025-26 academic year, this initiative will fully fund the tuition fees of 10 students annually, benefiting a total of 50 students over the next five years.
The Taparia Family Scholarships are designed to make world-class management education more accessible to meritorious students with limited financial means, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic and professional growth.
Transforming Access to World-Class Management Education
The scholarships will be available to students enrolled in ISB’s flagship one-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the newly introduced Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL). Both programmes are recognised globally for producing future-ready leaders equipped with strategic thinking, innovation, and ethical leadership skills.
Funded by Mahavir Prasad Taparia and Shivratan Taparia, the philanthropists behind Supreme Industries Limited, this multi-year initiative underscores the family’s deep commitment to advancing higher education and empowering future leaders.
The gift agreement was officially signed in the presence of senior representatives from the Taparia family and ISB leadership, including Dean Madan Pillutla, highlighting a shared vision of promoting excellence and inclusivity in management education.
A Vision Rooted in Educational Empowerment
Speaking on the occasion, Mahavir Prasad Taparia stated,
“Education has always been the foundation of progress. Through this scholarship, we hope to empower ISB students to pursue their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to India’s future.”
The statement reflects the Taparia family’s long-standing belief that education is the most powerful tool for personal and societal transformation.
In his remarks, ISB Dean Madan Pillutla expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Taparia family, saying that their generous endowment reinforces ISB’s mission of nurturing leadership that creates a positive and sustainable impact on society.
“The Taparia Family Scholarships represent not just a financial contribution but a powerful commitment to our shared goal of ensuring that deserving students have access to the best management education, regardless of their financial background,” Dean Pillutla added.
Strengthening ISB’s Legacy of Inclusion and Impact
This initiative builds on ISB’s consistent efforts to expand financial aid and scholarships for outstanding students. Over the years, ISB has developed multiple scholarship and fellowship programmes to promote diversity, inclusivity, and merit-based education in management studies.
By adding the Taparia Family Scholarships, ISB strengthens its ability to attract top talent and enable social mobility, ensuring that exceptional students from all economic backgrounds have an equal opportunity to excel.
A Step Toward Building India’s Future Leaders
The introduction of the Taparia Family Scholarships marks a milestone in ISB’s journey toward fostering responsible and impactful leadership. By supporting 50 deserving students over the next five years, the initiative is set to create a ripple effect — shaping leaders who will drive innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth in India and beyond.
The partnership between ISB and the Taparia family stands as a shining example of philanthropy in education, combining academic excellence with a mission to create long-term societal value.
