The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has officially released a recruitment notification for 506 posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon/Additional Veterinary Assistant Surgeon under the Odisha Veterinary Service, Group A (Junior Branch-II). ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years
• Candidates must be born between 2nd January 1983 and 1st January 2004.
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution.

Candidates with foreign degrees must possess conversion certificates recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

SALARY DETAILS:

The selected candidates will be appointed as Additional Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in Group-A (Junior Branch-II) with a pay scale of:

• ₹56,100/- per month in Level 12, Cell 1 of Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017.
• They will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance and other benefits as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.
