The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), a Deemed-to-be University under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced admissions for various Post-Graduate (PG) and Ph.D. programs for the academic session 2025-26. Located in Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, NERIST continues its tradition of academic excellence by inviting applications from eligible candidates through online mode.
The institute offers full-time M.Sc. programs in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Forestry for candidates who have completed a B.Sc. in the concerned discipline with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5.
The MBA program is open to graduates from any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, with exemptions from the written test for those qualified in CAT, MAT, CAMT, or XAT exams.
NERIST also offers a wide range of M.Tech programs across disciplines like Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. GATE or NET qualified candidates will be exempted from the written test for M.Tech admissions.
For Ph.D. admissions, NERIST invites applications in all departments and research centers, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories will enjoy a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks.
