Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025 Registrations Now Open

Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has officially opened the registration process for admissions to its various courses, including MSc, MBA, and BTech programs. Aspiring candidates can now apply for the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025, scheduled to be held on 10^th May and 11^th May 2025. Interested and eligible candidates complete their registrations before 18^th April 2025

HPCET 2025: EXAM STRUCTURE AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

According to the official notification, Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025 will be conducted covering subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The exam will be of three hours and fifteen minutes duration and it will assess candidates’ knowledge and aptitude in their chosen disciplines.

To be eligible for B.Tech admissions, candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university. Physics and Mathematics are mandatory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a technical/vocational subject.

Candidates must also meet the minimum qualifying marks criteria:

• General category candidates should have at least 45% marks in their 10+2 examination.
• Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/BPL) must have a minimum of 40% marks.

Application Fee Details

The application fee for HPCET 2025 varies based on the candidate’s category:

• Rs 800 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) candidates.
• Rs 1600 for General and other category candidates.
