Women and Child Development Ministry paid Internship 2025 Applications Open

Women and Child Development Ministry paid Internship 2025 Applications Open

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has launched its 2025 Internship Programme, offering a unique opportunity for women students, teachers, social workers, activists, and researchers—particularly those hailing from non-Tier I cities and rural regions of India. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to fostering inclusive participation in policymaking and social development.

This two-month paid internship is more than just a professional engagement—it is a hands-on learning experience that immerses participants in the real-world workings of the Ministry. Interns will actively contribute to ongoing projects, policy implementation, and flagship programmes focused on women and child welfare. Through exposure to pilot projects and micro-studies, participants will gain deep insights into the challenges and strategies behind government-led development initiatives.

What sets this programme apart is its focus on equity and grassroots inclusion. By opening its doors specifically to women from underrepresented geographies, the MWCD aims to broaden access to central government opportunities and build capacity at the community level. Participants will not only enhance their understanding of gender and child development issues but are also expected to become change agents in their own localities—inspiring awareness, advocacy, and action.

  • Currently enrolled in academic institutions

Importantly, applicants must be from non-Tier I cities or rural areas. This ensures that the programme remains focused on empowering women from marginalized and less-represented regions.
