Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2020

In collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education A National Level Programme : Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) (India’s Largest Science Talent search Examination for New India using Digital Devices) is conducted to popularize science among school students of standard VI to XI

OBJECTIVES 

• To create interest among students in pure science
• To educate school children about India’s contributions, from traditional to modern, to the world of science and technology
• To provide hands-on training to students through workshops and other events
• To provide mentors for preparing students to carry forward their education in the field of science
• To conduct competitive tests to identify students who have a scientific bent of mind
• To identify successful students at the State and National levels and felicitate them
• To organise exposure visits for the winners to various R&D institutions in the country

STRUCTURE 

The Students participating in VVM shall undergo the following multi-level testing procedures like

• Objective type Multiple Choice Questions
• Comprehensive Writing
• Presentation and Group Discussion
• Role Play
• Practical examination
• Methods of Science

NOTE : Each student will be evaluated at three stages i.e. school, state and national level

THE SYLLABUS OF EXAMINATION

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION

FEE STRUCTURE 

• Rs. 100/- (till 30th September) without Late Fee
• Rs. 120/- (from 01 to 15th October, 2020) with Late Fee

NOTE : The Fees Should be paid through payment gateway and ONLINE (RTGS/NEFT) and Challan payment only

AWARDS 

SCHOOL LEVEL : Top 3 Rankers per class will be SCHOOL winners Minimum 10 students per class must be registered from a school to qualify for this category, they will be given online Merit Certificate

DISTRICT LEVEL : Top 3 rankers per class will be DISTRICT winners, they will be given online Merit Certificate

STATE LEVEL : Top 20 rankers from each class from a state will qualify to participate in the state level camp / Top 3 rankers per class will be the State winners, they will be given State Camp Participation Certificate, State Camp Memento and Cash prize Rs. 5,000/-Rs. 3,000/- and Rs. 2,000/- for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd rankers per class

NATIONAL LEVEL : Top 2 winners at the state level, from each state, will qualify to participate in the National Camp / Top 3 rankers per class will be National winner, they will be given National Camp Participation Certificate & Memento Cash prize Rs. 25,000/ Rs. 15,000/ and Rs. 10,000/ for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd rankers per class

EXAM CENTERS : India’s First Open Book Exam, Students will write exam from their home

IMPORTANT DATES

FINAL EXAM DATE : Sunday, 29th November, 2020 and / or Monday, 30th November, 2020 (Login anyday) / Four days before the date of exam, the student will receive an SMS and Email notification to download the latest App

EXAM TIME : The students can login in the Exam App anytime from 10:00AM to 08:00PM to write the exam with his/her selected device (mobile/tablet /laptop).

REGISTRATION PROCESS : The registered students will be allowed to take exam from his/her own device, namely, a smart phone (mobile), laptop or desktop from his/her home, Registration will be available only through Online Mode on VVM’s website www.vvm.org.in.

MOCK TESTS

MEGA NATION-WIDE EXPERIMENT FOR VVM 2020-21 STUDENTS

A unique opportunity for registered participants this year is being coming up under VVM 2020 – 21, It is a novel Project of VVM, It’s an experiment based on the nutritional value of this food, food habits of students, and its environmental impact. The objectives of this mega experiment are inculcating observational skills, a scientific mindset, and analytical thinking among the students, All the details will be shared during the National Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2021 about the outcome of the Mega Experiment with its objectives, findings and impact on the national scenario
