UPSC Civil Services Prelims / Indian Forest Service 2023 results announced

The results of UPSC Civil Services Prelims  / Indian Forest Service Exam 2023 has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check the results, Exam was held on 28th May 2023,

Candidates are also informed that marks, cut off marks and answer keys of screening test held through CS (P) Examination, 2023 for IFoS (Main) Examination will be uploaded,

UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2023

The notification for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) . The Candidates applying for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims examination 2023. Their selection to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions

The online Applications can be submitted till 21st February 2023 till 6 PM

QUALIFICATION

A candidate must hold a Graduate degree from any of the recognised Universities, Candidates who have appeared at a qualifying examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination  will also be eligible for admission to the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination

APPLY

Candidates are required to apply online, It is essential for the candidates to register first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform and then proceed for the next step of filling up the online application for the examination.

MODIFY 

The Union Public Service Commission has extended the facility of making corrections of the application form for this examination from the next day of the closure of the application window. This window will remain open for 7 days, from 22nd to 28th February 2023

EXAM PATTERN

Candidates appearing for the examinations should note that there will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers

The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages

(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination

It will be Objective type for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination

(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination

It will be Written and Interview for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts 

AGE LIMIT

A candidate must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the maximum age of 32 years on the 1st of August 2023

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS 

Every candidate appearing at the examination shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC / ST / OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible are being provided

APPLICATION FEES

Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs 100, while Female / SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from payment of fee
