The University of Delhi (DU) has launched the Financial Support Scheme (FSS) 2025-26 to provide financial assistance to meritorious full-time students from economically weaker backgrounds. Eligibility Criteria for DU FSS 2025-26
To apply for the Delhi University Financial Support Scheme 2025-26, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time, bonafide student of DU.
- Should be pursuing a UG or PG degree program at a department, institution, or centre of the University of Delhi.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹8,00,000.
Ineligible Students
Certain categories of students are not eligible for this scheme:
- Students of DU constituent colleges.
- Students enrolled in B.Tech. programs (except CIC).
- Students of five-year integrated law programs, SoL, and NCWEB.
Benefits of the Financial Support Scheme
The fee waiver under FSS 2025-26 is based on the applicant’s family income:
- Family income ≤ ₹4,00,000 per annum → Up to 100% fee waiver (actual fee or maximum ₹15,000).
- Family income between ₹4,00,001 – ₹8,00,000 per annum → Up to 50% fee waiver (actual fee or maximum ₹10,000).
This ensures that financially weaker students can continue their studies without the burden of high fees.
Required Documents for FSS 2025-26
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- EWS/OBC-NCL certificate or Annual Family Income Certificate (issued after 31 March 2025 by a competent authority).
- Latest Income Tax Returns (2024-25) of family members (father, mother, sister(s), brother(s)).
- PAN cards of the above family members.
- Signed undertaking form as per the official format.
- Bonafide certificate duly signed by Head/Director of Centre/Department/Institute.
- Mark sheet of the latest examination.
- Latest fee receipt.
- Bank passbook/cancelled cheque showing the student’s name, account number, and IFSC code.
Important Note
- Income certificates signed by a notary will not be accepted.
- Bank account details must belong to the student only.
