The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the TS Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2025 round 1 counselling. Candidates now have until August 18, 2025 to complete their registration for the admission process through the official portal.
This extension offers a welcome relief for candidates aspiring to secure admission into postgraduate programmes such as M.E, M.Tech, M.Pharma, M.Arch, and Pharm across engineering colleges and institutions in Telangana.
Web Options and Edit Facility Schedule
According to the revised schedule, the TGCHE will activate the web options for round 1 counselling on August 26, but only for one day. This means candidates must be prepared with their preferred list of colleges and courses in advance. An edit window will be available on August 28, allowing applicants to make necessary changes to their submitted web options before final locking.
Provisional Allotment and Reporting Dates
The college-wise provisional allotment list will be released on September 1, 2025. Candidates allotted seats will be required to report to their respective colleges for document verification between September 2 and September 6. Failure to complete the verification process within the stipulated dates may result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Mandatory Documents for Counselling
To complete the registration and verification process, candidates must carry both originals and photocopies of the required documents. The list includes:
- GATE / GPAT Score Card or TS PGECET Rank Card
- Original Degree Certificate and Marksheets
- Intermediate / Diploma / 10+2 Certificate
- SSC Pass Certificate or Equivalent (as proof of Date of Birth)
- Income Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2025 (if applicable)
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last attended institution
- Special Category Certificates (for PH / CAP / NCC / Sports and Games, if applicable)
- Residence Certificate as proof of local status
Candidates are advised to arrange these documents in advance to avoid last-minute complications during verification.
About TS PGECET Counselling
The TS PGECET counselling is a centralised admission process that facilitates entry into various postgraduate engineering and pharmacy programmes in Telangana. The process is open to candidates who have qualified through GATE, GPAT, or TS PGECET. Seat allotment is based on merit, preference of colleges and courses, and availability of seats in the participating institutions.
The extension of the registration deadline aims to ensure maximum participation from eligible candidates who may have missed the earlier cut-off. TGCHE has urged applicants to complete the process well before the new deadline to avoid technical issues on the final day.
With the revised timeline in place, candidates now have a clear roadmap from registration (till August 18) to seat allotment (September 1) and college reporting (September 2–6), for more details and register CLICK HERE
