In a move aimed at promoting educational inclusivity, the Board has permitted private candidates from Arts and Humanities streams to appear for the Telangana IPE 2026 without college study.

Telangana IPE 2026: Practical and Internal Assessment Guidelines
The TGBIE has also clarified that the practical and internal assessment tests for English under Part 1—based on the Practical Manual: A Handbook of Communicative English—will continue for both General and Vocational streams.
This assessment system was:
- Introduced for first-year students from IPE March 2024
- Extended to second-year students from IPE March 2025
Therefore, private candidates appearing in IPE March 2026 must also prepare according to the current syllabus and assessment pattern prescribed for regular students.

It especially benefits working professionals, homemakers, and those who had to discontinue formal education but now wish to obtain an Intermediate qualification to pursue higher studies or career opportunities.
