The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which conducts some of India’s largest recruitment exams such as SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, and Constable GD, has unveiled a series of groundbreaking reforms to modernise its examination system. At a press briefing, SSC Chairman Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, along with officials from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC, and CBSE, announced the establishment of AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendras (APK) across the country.

AADARSH Pariksha Kendras: Revolutionising SSC Exams

The AADARSH Pariksha Kendra (APK) initiative aims to provide candidates with a standardised, secure, and computer-based exam experience. These new centres are designed to be candidate-friendly while ensuring fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.

Around 8,000 seats under APK will be made available for the upcoming SSC recruitment exams, benefiting millions of aspirants across India.

The SSC AADARSH centres will come equipped with world-class infrastructure, meeting ISO-certified standards. Key highlights include:

  • AI-enabled CCTV surveillance with zero blind spots to prevent malpractices.

Alongside the launch of APKs, the Staff Selection Commission has introduced several reforms to improve exam management and candidate convenience:

  • Over 90% of candidates will now get exam centres from the three preferred options they choose during registration.
  • For the remaining candidates, centres will be allotted within 200 km of their homes, reducing travel stress and expenses.
  • Standardised stationery will be provided at all centres to ensure uniformity.
  • Launch of an official SSC YouTube channel to share authentic updates, exam-related announcements, and candidate resources.
  • Establishment of a dedicated grievance hub from the next exam cycle for faster resolution of candidate concerns.
