Social Welfare Dept, Karnataka UPSC Mains 2025 Coaching Applications Open

The Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka has invited applications from eligible candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) for its Pre-Examination Coaching Program for UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination 2025. This initiative aims to support meritorious students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their journey toward India’s most prestigious competitive examination.

As per the official notification, only those candidates who have successfully cleared the UPSC Preliminary Examination 2025 are eligible to apply. The coaching program will be conducted for a period of three months or until the date of the UPSC Mains 2025, whichever is earlier. The program is designed to offer intensive academic guidance, expert lectures, and resources to help candidates perform well in the Mains examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• The applicant must belong to the SC/ST category.
• The candidate should have cleared the UPSC Prelims 2025.
• The annual family income should be less than ₹5 lakhs.

To provide financial support during the preparation period, the selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 for the duration of the coaching program. This support ensures that aspirants can focus entirely on their studies without the burden of financial stress.

The last date to submit applications is 10th July 2025, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply at the earliest to avoid last-minute delays. The application form, along with instructions and eligibility details, can be accessed through the official portal of the Karnataka Social Welfare Department or collected from the nearest District Social Welfare Office.
