Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools which are affiliated to CBSE,

Sainik Schools prepare Cadets to join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla (Pune), Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and other Training Academies for officers, at present in the country there are 33 Sainik Schools spread across the States and the Union Territories 

Sainik Schools Society (SSS) offers admission to Class VI and Class IX for the academic year 2021-22, Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)

ELIGIBILITY (6th Std)

A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2021,he/she should have been born between 01 April 2009 and 31 March 2011 (both days inclusive) and should have passed 5th Std (Note : It is open for both boys and girls)

ELIGIBILITY (9th Std)

A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2021, he should have been born between 01 April 2006 and 31 March 2008 (both days inclusive) and should have passed 8th std (Note : It is open only for boys)

AISSEE 2021 : 7th February 2021 (Sunday).

NOTE 

• The selection and admission to Sainik Schools is subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents and such other criteria as may be prescribed,
• Merely appearing and passing in AISSEE 2021 does not confer any right to the candidate for admission 
• Incomplete application and applications not in accordance with instructions are liable to be rejected without any further intimation
• The examination fee once deposited will not be refunded
• Applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn
• Candidate‟s admission to AISSEE 2021 is purely provisional and is subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria prescribed by the SSS as applicable.

EXAM PATTERN (6th Std)

• Mode of Examination: Paper pencil on OMR answer sheets 
• Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
• Medium of Exam : English and Regional Language

NOTE 

• Mathematics Section Consists of 50 Questions and Each Question carry 3 Marks
• Intelligence / Language / General Knowledge Each Section Consists of 25 Marks and Each Question Carry 2 Marks
• NO Negative marking.

EXAM PATTERN (9th Std)

• Mode of Examination: Paper pencil on OMR answer sheets 
• Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
• Medium of Exam : English only

NOTE 

• Mathematics Section Consists of 50 Questions and Each Question carry 4 Marks
• Intelligence / English / General Science / Social Science Each Section Consists of 25 Marks and Each Question Carry 2 Marks
• NO Negative marking.

ADMIT CARD

The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions will be issued online 15 days prior to the examination

PASSING MARKS

A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2021.

However, admission will be based on relative merit (in AISSEE) of candidate in his/ her category in the school opted by him/ her, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents

NOTE : No minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category

RESERVATION

67% of the seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in the State/ UT where the Sainik School is located and 33% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Other States and Union Territories(UT). 

APPLICATION PROCESS

The Application Process has Four state :

• Stage 1 : Registration Process
• Stage 2 : Fill in the complete Application Form (Choice of Schools)
• Stage 3: Uploading of scanned images (Photograph / Signature / Left hand Thumb Impression)
• Stage 4: Payment of Fee and Status of receipt of Online Application Form with Fee

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Candidate‟s Name/ Mother‟s Name/ Father‟s Name as in the school records. Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as recorded in date of birth certificate/school records should be entered

Candidates need to provide any one of the following identity details: School ID card or PAN Card or Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), or Passport Number or any other Photo Identity Card issued by Government.

Candidates must provide Mobile Number or email address (their own or that of their parents)

Candidates should Provide complete postal address with PIN Code (Correspondence and Permanent address) for further correspondence.
