Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to tell us to stop.
This policy explains how AMK Resource World (“we”) handles information about visitors to https://amkresourceinfo.com. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter signup: your email address, and the page you subscribed from.
- Contact and complaints: whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Newsroom accounts: name, email and password (hashed — we never store it in readable form). Staff only.
Information collected automatically
- Pageviews: the URL visited and a timestamp. We use this to build our “Most Read” lists. It is not tied to a named individual.
- Server logs: IP address, browser user agent and referring page, retained for a short period for security and abuse prevention.
- Analytics: if you consent, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure how the site is used in aggregate.
Cookies
We use three kinds of cookie and local storage:
- Essential: your theme preference, your cookie choice itself, and a session cookie for logged-in newsroom staff. These are always set, because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics: set only with your consent.
- Advertising: set only with your consent. See below.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will bring the consent banner back.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertising, which is what pays for our reporting. You should know the following:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

- If you decline advertising cookies, we ask Google to serve non-personalised ads instead. You will still see advertising; it will simply be less targeted.
Affiliate links
Some links earn us a commission. Clicking one records that a click happened, so we can see which recommendations readers find useful. It does not identify you. The merchant you land on has its own privacy policy, which governs what happens next. See our affiliate disclosure.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider (for the newsletter), Google (analytics and advertising, subject to your consent), and law enforcement where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe.
- Pageview records: 13 months.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Correspondence: up to 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the UK/EU GDPR and similar laws, these requests are free and we will respond within 30 days.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Access to reader data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users and the relevant authority if a breach occurs.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the site.
