Editorial Policy
How we report, verify, correct and fund our journalism. If we fall short of any of this, we want to hear about it.
Who we are
AMK Resource World is an independent education publication covering exams, results, admissions and government recruitment. Our team is small and named — every article carries a real byline linking to that writer’s profile page, which states their experience and the subjects they cover.
How we source stories
- We prefer primary sources: regulatory filings, court orders, official statements, published research, and named interviews.
- Where we rely on another publication’s reporting, we say so and link to it. We do not rewrite other outlets’ work and present it as our own.
- Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly, only where a source faces real professional risk, and only with an editor’s approval. We tell readers why the source is unnamed.
- Claims of fact carry an attribution. If we cannot establish something, we say we cannot establish it rather than hedging it into the text.
Verification
Before publication, an editor other than the writer checks names, dates, figures, quotations and every link. Numbers are checked against the original document, not against a secondary report of it. Where a story makes a serious allegation about a person or organisation, we approach them for comment before publishing and record whether they responded.
Corrections
We correct errors openly. When we change a published story we append a dated correction note at the foot of the article explaining what was wrong and what it now says. We do not silently edit a story to remove an error. Every correction is also listed on our public corrections page.
To report an error, contact us via our contact page with the headline and the specific claim. We aim to respond within two working days.
Updates to published stories
Developing stories are updated as facts change, and the article shows both a published and an updated timestamp. Evergreen guides are reviewed periodically; when the underlying facts change we update the guide and move the update date rather than publishing a near-duplicate.
Our use of AI
We use AI tools for routine assistance — transcription, research summaries, subediting suggestions. We do not publish AI-generated articles, AI-generated quotations, or AI-generated images presented as photography. A named human writer is responsible for every word we publish and can defend every claim in it.
Independence from commercial interests
Our journalism is funded by advertising and by affiliate commissions. Neither buys influence over what we cover or what we conclude:
- Advertisers get no advance sight of editorial content and no right of review.
- Recommendations in our guides are decided on merit before anyone looks at commission rates. A product’s payout never affects whether or where it appears. See our affiliate disclosure.
- Sponsored content is labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the page and in every listing, is written or approved by the sponsor, and is never presented as reporting.
- Writers must declare holdings or interests relevant to what they cover, and do not write about companies in which they have a material personal stake.
Opinion
Opinion pieces are labelled as such and represent the author’s view, not the publication’s. They are held to the same factual standard as reporting.
Complaints
If you believe we have breached this policy, get in touch via our contact page and mark it “Editorial complaint”. Complaints are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief. If we got it wrong, we will say so publicly.
