Some links on this site earn us a commission. Here is exactly how that works, and what we do to stop it affecting what we recommend.
The short version
Some of our guides and reviews contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, AMK Resource World may receive a commission from the merchant. You never pay more because of it — the commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not your price.
Where these links appear
Affiliate links appear in evergreen guides, buying guides, reviews and comparison tables — content written for people who are actively deciding what to buy. They are marked, and every page carrying them displays a disclosure above the first such link, not buried at the bottom.
We do not put affiliate links in breaking news, and we do not place them where they would be irrelevant to what you came to read.
Programmes we participate in
We participate in affiliate programmes including the Amazon Associates Programme and other retail, financial services, software and education affiliate networks. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Individual merchants are named on the pages where their links appear.
How we stop commissions influencing recommendations
- Selection comes first. Writers decide what to recommend, and in what order, before anyone looks at which merchants have affiliate programmes or what they pay.
- Payout never affects placement. A higher-commission product does not get a better position, a bigger box, or softer language.
- We recommend things with no commission at all when they are the right answer, including buying nothing.
- We say what is wrong with a product as plainly as what is right. Every product box on this site has a “what’s not” column, and it is never empty.
- Commercial staff have no say in editorial selection, and editorial staff are not compensated on affiliate revenue.
These commitments are part of our editorial policy.
Technical detail
Affiliate links on this site are routed through /api/go/…, which records that a click happened and then forwards you to the merchant. We use this to see which recommendations readers find useful. It does not identify you personally. All affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow", as required by search engines for monetised links.
Prices and availability
Prices change constantly. Any price mentioned is the price we saw when we last checked, and the merchant’s own page is authoritative. We are not responsible for merchant pricing, stock, delivery or after-sales service.
Sponsored content is a different thing
Affiliate links are our own recommendations that happen to earn a commission. Sponsored content is paid for by a third party and is always labelled Sponsored at the top of the page and in every listing where it appears. We never blur the two.
