Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, officially launched the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutions (NSCSTI) 2.0—a significantly revamped framework developed by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) under the ambitious Mission Karmayogi.

NSCSTI 2.0 marks a transformative step in India’s efforts to reform and modernize civil service training. This upgraded framework simplifies evaluation metrics and integrates advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to make assessments more streamlined, data-driven, and impactful. The framework not only improves institutional effectiveness but also enhances the quality of training imparted to civil servants across the country.

Designed to align with globally benchmarked models like the Karmayogi Competency Model (KCM) and Approach to Government Knowledge (AGK), NSCSTI 2.0 supports a uniform standard of excellence while allowing flexibility in implementation across various levels of government—be it central, state, or local. This ensures the framework remains adaptable to India’s diverse administrative environments and caters to the specific needs of each institution.

One of the standout features of NSCSTI 2.0 is its focus on outcome-based assessments.
