National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the Competency Based Medical Education Curriculum (CBME) Regulations,2023
As per the Competency Based Medical Education Curriculum (CBME) Regulations,2023 released by the National Medical Commission (NMC), from the academic year 2024-25 the universities shall organise admission timings and admissions process in way that the first professional year commences by 1st August of each year.
There shall be no admission for any academic session beyond 30th August, Institutions granting admission beyond the 30th August will be liable to face actions prescribed by National Medical Commission (NMC)
At the end of each professional year, the Students to appear for university exams, If the students fail to clear main exams at the end of each professional year, they will have to appear for supplementary exams. The supplementary exams and their results shall be processed within 3-6 weeks from the date of declaration of main exam results so that the candidates, who pass the supplementary exams can join the main batch for progression
As per the notification released Partial attendance of examination in any subject shall be counted as an attempt, If the candidate fails in the first year MBBS supplementary examination then they shall join the batch of the next academic / subsequent year. There shall be no supplementary batches.
