NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC Extends Registration Deadline to August 3 for Round 1

NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC Extends Registration Deadline to August 3 for Round 1

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the registration deadline for NEET UG Counselling 2025 to August 3, allowing aspiring medical students more time to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This extension is primarily aimed at accommodating Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates, who are still in the process of obtaining their mandatory disability certificates from designated centres.

In a significant move towards inclusivity, the MCC has established 16 designated disability centres across the country. PwBD candidates must approach these centres with their UDID card and self-certified documents to obtain a valid disability certificate. The certificate is a mandatory requirement for participation in the NEET UG 2025 AIQ counselling process.

Earlier, the Round 1 seat allotment was scheduled to be declared on August 3, but the revised timeline has pushed the seat allotment result to August 6. The decision ensures that all eligible PwBD candidates have adequate time to secure the necessary documentation without being excluded from the counselling process.

Revised NEET UG Round 1 Counselling Schedule 2025:

Counselling Event Revised Date and Time
Registration Deadline August 3, up to 1 PM
Payment of Fees August 3, up to 4 PM
Choice Filling August 3, up to 11:59 PM
Choice Locking August 3, from 6 PM to 11:55 PM
Seat Processing August 5
Seat Allotment Result August 6
Reporting to Allotted Colleges August 7 to 11

Through four rounds of counselling, over 1.15 lakh MBBS seats will be filled. This includes seats in deemed universities, central universities, and other institutions under the AIQ scheme. The updated seat matrix and counselling schedule are available on the official MCC portal.
